CCP Night at TCTC

Students in grades 6-11 who plan to take any CCP courses in the 2017-2018 school year and their parents are encouraged to attend:

College Credit Plus Information Night 

Trumbull County Career and Technical Center

Monday, December 5, 2016 

Doors open at 5pm

 Presentations begin at 5:30pm

 

Families will be able to hear presentations on important deadlines & admission requirements from Hiram, Youngstown State University, and Kent State University. 

Additionally, there will be a parents’ meeting time with Miss Herman to discuss CCP courses offered at Lordstown and the dates that YSU & Kent will be at Lordstown to fill out applications. Parents will also have the opportunity to meet with the colleges and universities.

Students who participated in the CCP Program this year are also encouraged to attend to learn about the new changes in the program and how to re- enroll.

There will NOT be another Information Night held at Lordstown this year.

Veterans Day

Lordstown Veterans Assembly November 7th at 9:00 AM

 

We want to recognize as many veterans from Lordstown as we can. If you are related to or know a veteran that would be willing to arrive at the auditorium between 8:30AM – 8:50 AM and take part in the ceremony on November 7th please complete the information on the form attached below and return to Terry Armstrong, Superintendent of Lordstown Local Schools. Forms can be dropped off to either building secretaries and Administrative offices.  The completion of the information will help us properly honor all veterans in attendance.  These forms are needed by Thursday, November 3, 2016. We need the information in advance to properly honor our Veterans. Please print all information and return to the school by November 3rd, 2016. Thank you"

Read-a-thon

Special Fundraiser

Lordstown Elementary will be participating in a Read-a-thon from November 7th to 21st. This is a fundraiser, and we will be looking for sponsors - both individual and corporate.

Bricks from school building available during Apple Cider Weekend

As part of the Apple Cider Festival, bricks from the old school building will be distributed at no cost, one per person.

 

Bricks will be available on:

Friday, September 16, from 4PM-6PM

Saturday, September 17, from 2PM-6PM

 

Student volunteers will be assisting with the distribution. To pick up a brick, just drive around the elementary school building to the back of the building (on the same side as SCOPE)... The volunteers will be there to deliver your bricks to your car. A future brick distribution will be scheduled and based on availability. THANK YOU!
